Clock speed
One core runs your world. We put a floor under it.
A Minecraft server ticks its world on one main thread, so the speed of a single core decides how it holds up when the farms and the players pile in. We publish a floor instead of a chip name, and every new machine has to clear it before it takes a single server.

How is pricing calculated?
By RAM. High Performance is $3.00 per GB a month and Heavy is $4.50 per GB a month. Every size has unlimited player slots.
What is the difference between High Performance and Heavy?
High Performance is our normal plan and the right one for most servers. Heavy runs on machines with our highest single-thread floor and fewer servers on each one: at most 8 GB of servers per CPU core. Pick Heavy when a big modpack or a busy world lags at peak. The sizes and features are the same.
How much RAM do I need?
Vanilla or Paper with a few friends starts at 4 GB. Paper with plugins or light mods starts at 6 GB. Most modpacks run on 8 GB. Large modpacks of 250 mods and up want 12 GB, and a public community or the largest packs want 16 GB. You can move up a size any time, so start where it fits today.
How much storage do I get?
Every size on this page has 10 GB of NVMe for every GB of RAM, so an 8 GB server has 80 GB. Off-site backups are stored separately and never use that space. Need more? Move up a size.
Can I pay monthly or annually?
Both. Annual is billed once at a fixed multiple of the monthly rate and saves up to two months.
Can I change plans later?
You can upgrade to a larger plan at any time. Contact us if you need to move down.
Why is Heavy only in the US?
Heavy runs on machines we only operate in the US today. Where High Performance is sold: Germany live, US pre-order.
What CPU will my server run on?
We publish a performance floor, not a model name. Every machine in a plan meets or beats that plan's floor, and we say so on the hardware and specs page. We do not assign a specific chip to a server.
