RLCraft server hosting

Survival focused RPG pack with a harder early game.

Tested on our hardware

RLCraft is the famous one: the hardest mainstream modpack, where thirst, temperature, broken bones, and dragons kill you in the first ten minutes and the entire point is learning to survive anyway. Nobody drifts away from an RLCraft server out of boredom.

It punishes weak hosting the same way it punishes weak players: an underpowered server turns dragon fights into slideshows. We host it on plans we actually tested it on, with off-site backups, because in RLCraft losing the world to a crash is the one death you cannot learn from.

Why host RLCraft here

  • The server ships installed and tested: the hard part of RLCraft should be the dragons, not the setup.
  • Sized from real testing, so fights and exploration hold up with your group online.
  • Off-site backups: the deaths are the game, losing the world is not.

How to start a RLCraft server

  1. Pick a plan

Plans are just RAM. The recommendation on this page is the size we tested this pack on.

  2. Pick RLCraft in the create flow

The pack is preinstalled and configured by us; there is nothing to upload.

  3. We build the server

Provisioning runs in minutes and your dashboard shows every step live.

  4. Share the address and play

Friends join with the server address from your dashboard; the console, files, and backups live there too.

Frequently asked questions

How much RAM does RLCraft need?
RLCraft runs on 6 GB and up. That is a tested number from running the pack on our own hardware, not a guess. For a typical friend group we recommend the Craft plan: 6 GB, sized for 3-10 players.
Why is RLCraft considered so hard?
It stacks survival systems vanilla does not have: thirst, temperature, injuries, leveled skills, and much deadlier creatures. Early deaths are constant and expected; the pack is about clawing your way to being powerful anyway.
Does an RLCraft server need a big plan?
It needs a mid-size plan more than a huge one. The recommendation on this page is the size we tested it on with a small group; upgrade later if you invite more people, without losing the world.
Can we switch to a different pack later?
Yes. Your dashboard can switch the server to another pack or server type. Take a backup first and the old world stays restorable.
Are backups included?
Yes. Off-site cloud backups are included on every plan, on a configurable hourly to weekly cadence, with up to 20 kept.
