Fabric loads mods with a minimal footprint, which keeps servers lean and makes it the first loader ready after a new Minecraft version lands. The modern half of the modding ecosystem, from performance mods to Cobblemon, is built on it.

On a managed Fabric server you pick mods from Modrinth in the dashboard and we keep the server side sane: matched versions, off-site backups, and a console that shows you what a misbehaving mod is actually doing.

Fabric or Forge for a new modded server?
Pick by the mods you want. Modern, performance-focused packs and Cobblemon live on Fabric; the deep classic mod catalog lives on Forge. Both run managed here, and curated packs already come on the right loader.
Do players need Fabric installed to join?
For a modded Fabric server, yes: each player installs Fabric plus the matching mods once. Curated packs make that a one-download client install.
Can we switch to a different pack later?
Yes. Your dashboard can switch the server to another pack or server type. Take a backup first and the old world stays restorable.
Are backups included?
Yes. Off-site cloud backups are included on every plan, on a configurable hourly to weekly cadence, and your backup space matches your server space.
