Frequently asked questions

Will my Paper or Spigot plugins work on Purpur?

Yes. Purpur is a fork of Paper, which is itself built on Spigot, so plugins written for either run on Purpur without changes. If a plugin works on your current Paper server, expect it to work here. The extra gameplay options are additive: leave the dials alone and the server behaves exactly like Paper.

Should I pick Purpur or Paper?

Pick Paper if you want a fast, unfussy plugin server and never plan to open a config file. Pick Purpur if the config file is half the fun. You lose nothing by choosing it: with the extra options left at defaults it plays like Paper, and your friends join with the stock client either way.

Can we switch to a different pack later?

Yes. Your dashboard can switch the server to another pack or server type. Take a backup first and the old world stays restorable.

Are backups included?

Yes. Off-site cloud backups are included on every plan, on a configurable hourly to weekly cadence, with up to 20 kept.
