Fear Nightfall server hosting

Horror survival after dark: dread builds as the nights grow worse.

Tested on our hardware

Fear Nightfall is Minecraft rebuilt as a horror game. Daylight is for gathering, building, and bracing yourself; when the sun goes down, something out there knows where you live. The pack leans on slow dread more than cheap tricks, with oppressive sound design and things you only glimpse before they find you. It is beloved by friend groups who want to scream together and streamers chasing genuine reactions.

Horror runs on timing, and lag is the enemy of timing. A stutter at the wrong moment turns terror into comedy, and Fear Nightfall works your server hardest exactly when the tension peaks: at night, with everything awake. So we install and test every pack on our own hardware before we sell it, keep off-site backups on every plan, and give you a live console for the moments when the panic is real.

Why host Fear Nightfall here

  • We ran Fear Nightfall's worst nights on our own hardware before we listed it, so the scares arrive on time instead of as a slideshow.
  • Off-site backups on every plan mean a bad night costs you some sleep, not your world.
  • One dashboard and a live console let you restart and investigate without alt-tabbing away from the dark.

How to start a Fear Nightfall server

  1. Pick a plan

Plans are just RAM. The recommendation on this page is the size we tested this pack on.

  2. Pick Fear Nightfall in the create flow

The pack is preinstalled and configured by us; there is nothing to upload.

  3. We build the server

Provisioning runs in minutes and your dashboard shows every step live.

  4. Share the address and play

Friends join with the server address from your dashboard; the console, files, and backups live there too.

Frequently asked questions

How much RAM does Fear Nightfall need?
Fear Nightfall runs on 8 GB and up. That is a tested number from running the pack on our own hardware, not a guess. For a typical friend group we recommend the Modded plan: 8 GB, sized for 3-10 players.
Is Fear Nightfall better with friends?
Yes. Horror hits harder when someone is next to you screaming just as loud. On a server you share a base, take turns keeping watch, and compare notes in the morning about what each of you saw. And because the world stays online, the dark is still out there waiting even when nobody is logged in.
Can we tone the horror down for our group?
Fear Nightfall is assembled from many individual horror mods, and like most Forge packs it can be tuned. If one particular terror pushes past your group's comfort line, its mod can usually be adjusted or disabled through its config. The pack is at its best played as intended, but it is your server and your rules.
Can we switch to a different pack later?
Yes. Your dashboard can switch the server to another pack or server type. Take a backup first and the old world stays restorable.
Are backups included?
Yes. Off-site cloud backups are included on every plan, on a configurable hourly to weekly cadence, with up to 20 kept.
